okaydating.be (https://okaydating.be/) is an online advertising platform operated by Eventiq, BV, with its registered office at Daalstraat 69, 9150, Belgium, registered in the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises under number BE 1009.683.985 (“we”, “us”).
You can contact us at info@okaydating.be. This email address is also our central point of contact for users and public authorities under the European Digital Services Act (DSA). You can contact us in Dutch, French or English.
These terms and conditions apply to all use of okaydating.be: visiting the site, creating an account, placing adverts, sending messages and purchasing credits or premium services. By creating an account, you accept these terms and conditions. Other terms and conditions (e.g. those of a user) do not apply in relation to us.
okaydating.be is a platform on which users post their own adverts and get in touch with one another. We are not a party to any agreements, sales or services between users. Advertisers are solely responsible for their own adverts, for what they offer and for complying with the law. We do not check advertisements for accuracy in advance and give no guarantee as to the identity, reliability or quality of users or their offers.
It is prohibited to post or send content via okaydating.be that:
You warrant that you hold all rights to the text and photographs you post. You grant us a free, non-exclusive licence to display that content on the platform for as long as your advert remains online.
Anyone – including those without an account – can report content that they consider to be illegal or in breach of these terms and conditions via the report page or by emailing info@okaydating.be. Where possible, please include: the link to the content, why you believe it to be illegal, your name and email address (except in the case of reports concerning child sexual abuse), and a statement confirming that your report is made in good faith and is true.
We handle every report carefully, objectively and as quickly as possible, and let you know what action we have taken. If we suspect a criminal offence that poses a threat to someone’s life or safety, we will notify the relevant authorities.
We reserve the right to remove or restrict access to content that contravenes the law or these terms and conditions, to limit its visibility, to suspend premium services, and to temporarily or permanently block or delete an account. In the event of reports or suspicions, a human (the platform administrators) will assess the content; we do not use automated decision-making for this purpose. Telephone numbers that are repeatedly used for misuse may be placed on an internal block list.
If we take such a measure against you, we will inform you of this, providing a clear explanation (what the content is, what the measure is, why, and which rule we are basing it on), unless the law prohibits this. If you disagree, you may lodge an objection within 6 months via info@okaydating.be; your objection will be reviewed by someone other than the person who made the decision. You may also take the matter to court at any time.
Online payments are processed via our payment service provider, Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (Ireland). We do not receive your payment details (e.g. card number). Your purchase will be dispatched as soon as payment has been confirmed.
As a consumer, when making a distance purchase, you are in principle entitled to cancel the purchase within 14 days without giving any reason. However, credits, VIP boosts and slider slots are digital content and services that we deliver immediately. We therefore ask you, before making any online payment, to expressly confirm that you wish delivery to commence immediately and that you are aware that, as a result, you will lose your right of withdrawal once delivery has taken place (Article VI.53, 13° of the Economic Law Code). Once you have given this confirmation and delivery has taken place, you can no longer withdraw from the contract. We will confirm your purchase by email or via your account.
If the right of withdrawal does apply (for example, because nothing has been delivered yet), you can clearly state your decision to withdraw by emailing info@okaydating.be, for example using the following text: “I hereby notify you that I am withdrawing from my contract for the purchase of [description], ordered on [date], under the name [name and email address of your account].” We will then refund you within 14 days using the same payment method.
We do our best to keep the platform secure, accurate and available, but cannot guarantee that it will always operate without error or interruption. We are not liable for content posted by users, for agreements or disputes between users, or for indirect damage (such as loss of profit), unless caused by wilful misconduct or gross negligence on our part. In any event, our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us over the last 12 months. These limitations do not apply to the extent that they are prohibited by law, for example in relation to consumers.
The design, software, name and logo of okaydating.be are our property or that of our licensors. You must not copy or reuse them, or automatically extract data from the site, without our written permission.
You can read about how we handle your personal data in our privacy policy.
We may amend these terms and conditions, for example, in the event of new features or changes to legislation. We will notify you of any significant changes at least 14 days in advance by email or via your account. If you continue to use the site after that, you will be deemed to have accepted the new terms and conditions. If you do not agree, you may have your account deleted.
If you have a complaint, please let us know first via info@okaydating.be; we will reply within 14 days. If we are unable to resolve the matter together, as a consumer you can contact the Consumer Ombudsman Service (consumentenombudsdienst.be).
These terms and conditions are governed by Belgian law. Any disputes shall be brought before the courts of East Flanders, without prejudice to a consumer’s right to bring the matter before the court of their place of residence.
